ArtistShield is a creator-first business concept I am developing through my Entertainment Business master’s program. The project focuses on helping independent artists protect their work, manage AI usage permissions, and prepare for future licensing opportunities.
The idea came from a real problem in the entertainment industry. As artificial intelligence becomes more involved in music, media, and creative production, independent artists need clearer ways to protect ownership, control consent, and understand how their work may be used. ArtistShield is being built around creator sovereignty, transparency, ethical AI, and fair compensation.
The platform concept gives artists a way to prove ownership, block unauthorized AI training, or opt in to licensed usage on their own terms. The long-term goal is to create a simple rights and licensing system that artists can actually understand without needing a legal or technical background.
This project connects my background in music, film, marketing, branding, and entrepreneurship. It also shows the business and leadership direction I am building toward through my master’s program. ArtistShield is still in development, but it represents the type of entertainment business problem I want to help solve: protecting creators while still allowing technology and the industry to move forward in a more ethical way.
